ABOUT US "Expats helping Expats (and having fun while doing it)" is our motto! The purpose of our group is for informal assistance of mostly Expats from different countries who want to (or are wondering about) living, working, investing, or Exploring, in Panama.   We started out in 2004 with a once-a-month "Social" which continues to date. Absolutely everyone is welcome, so if you are interested, please click on the tab below to see where our next one is! By early on in 2005, we realized there was a need for a broader based focus in learning about life in Panama, more get-togethers, as well as educational (but always fun!) outings, so the... EXPAT EXPLORERS! WERE BORN! EXPAT EXPLORERS! is a fun and curious group of expats, made up of both visitors and those already living here.  It is a group formed to facilitate getting to know each other as well as to explore the country of Panama, including its businesses, services, and options together rather than on our own.  Basically it is for those who want to meet, live, laugh, and learn more often than the once-a-month of the Socials.  Again, everyone is welcome, so please click on the tab below to see what adventure you would like to participate in the next time it is offered!

EXPAT EXPLORERS!   have smaller group outings uniquely designed to allow us to explore different areas of Panama in fun ways without having to be tourism or business benefit based.  We have put together fun events, like the "Treasure on Taboga" - an energetic and fun Pirate Party/Treasure Hunt; learning excursions, such as the Furniture & Decor Tours (where we explore several stores as a small group, and report back to each other).  We even have the occasional party,  like the Roof Top Martini Party; yet, because we are all Expats In Panama, we do all these things with like minded individuals we are already comfortable with .... and, just for a break ....without a language barrier.  We always offer an open invitation for any new expats, or visiting tourists, family &/or friends having interest in the topic of the event/outing. In addition to the Expat Explorer Outings, we have a regular monthly "meet & greet" in the city of Panama. These Expat Happy Hour Socials" are held the SECOND-LAST MONDAY of every month at different restaurants in the city of Panama (unless that Monday falls on a Panamanian Holiday - at which time the date & day change notice is sent out to all registered).  The location varies from month to month as we continue to look for restaurants large and reputable enough to handle our growing numbers.  Locations are posted on this website as soon as confirmations are completed.

NOTICE TO VISITORS: When planning your visit to Panama, be sure to check the Events Calendar & write in if you want to join in on an event.  Everyone is welcome, no need to be a member; just let us know you want to participate!  If the event you would be interested in is not on our calendar, write us (!); we may be able to accommodate your request if  given enough notice. If you have a specific need or interest that you feel should be Explored as a new idea for an outing, please also feel free to write in and let us know!   admin(at) expatsinpanama.com

 Everyone is welcome to be added to the email notification list.   Notification of  each Expat Happy Hour Social's monthly location is sent out to our mailing list approximately one week before the event.  Notification of Expat Explorers Events are sent out bi-weekly during the dry season, and only as an update is required during the rest of the year. Of course, one must be registered to receive this notice, (see below).
